🌟 About Black Planet

Black Planet is a  gritty, dancefloor-first  collective rooted in 90s alternative club culture. We’re not here for the influencers or the polished feeds, we’re here for the sweat, the queerness, and the raw, unfiltered community. Our reels should feel like a peek into the night, not influencer vibes!

We’re looking for a  Reel Content Creator  who gets this. Someone who can capture the pulse of our floors and translate it into short, addictive videos that our crowd actually wants to watch, and share.

🎯 Your Role

You’ll be the  eyes and ears  of BP on social media, creating reels that tell our story without selling out. we want authenticity, edge, and heart.

Key Responsibilities

  • •Film & Edit Reels  at our events and behind-the-scenes moments, interviews with the guests etc.
  • •Develop a Consistent Vibe:  Creative, cool, and community-driven, no influencer fluff or commercial gloss.
  • •Collaborate with Our Team:  Align content with BP’s values, safety standards, and event calendars.
  • •Engage Our Audience:  Make reels that spark conversation, not just consumption. Think gritty aesthetics, raw energy, and inclusive messaging.
  • •Adapt & Innovate:  Stay ahead of trends but keep it real, always prioritize substance over style.

We care about your  creativity and values  more than your follower count.

You’ll fit if you

  • •Have Prior Experience  in content creation, videography, or social media,  send us a link to your portfolio or accounts in the application form  (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
  • •Or Can Prove Your Skills:  If you’re new but talented, create a sample reel (even a mock-up) and send it our way.
  • •Are Creative & Cool:  Your work has an edge, it’s dark, playful, emotional, or chaotic, but never generic.
  • •Match Our Values:  queer or queer-friendly, anti-influencer, and rooted in community. You get why BP matters.
  • •Think Community-First:  You want to build connections, not just content. Your reels should feel like they’re  for  the crowd, not  about  the brand.
  • •Thrive in Gritty Environments:  Comfortable in loud, sweaty, late-night spaces where the real magic happens.
  • •Flexible Schedule:  Work around event dates, mostly evenings and weekends.
  • •Access to BP Events:  Free entry to shoot and soak in the vibe (when off-duty, you can just dance).
  • •Creative Freedom:  We trust your vision, as long as it’s true to BP.
